Daniel Lefebvre, Quebec Dad Facing Manslaughter Charge Gets Bail In Alleged Baby-Shaking Case

    GATINEAU, Que. — A Quebec man who has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly shaking his infant daughter has been granted bail.
     
    Daniel Lefebvre's identity was made public today after a judge in the western Quebec town of Gatineau lifted a publication ban.
     
    The 25-year-old must undergo a psychological evaluation.
     
    Lefebvre was orginally charged with aggravated assault after the seven-week-old girl was found unconscious on July 15.
     
    The charge was upgraded after her death a few days later.
     
    He will return to court Oct. 5.
