One man has died after an early morning collision on Sunday in East Vancouver.
Just after 5 a.m., police were called to single-vehicle collision into a power pole on Commercial near Victoria Drive. The 24-year-old driver from Burnaby, and the only occupant of the car, died at the scene.
Officers from the VPD’s Collision Investigation Unit have taken over the investigation and will take steps to determine the cause of the crash.
This is Vancouver’s third motor-vehicle-related fatality of 2017.
