Mounties in B-C are recommending numerous charges against an Edmonton man after a drug seizure at a Canadian border crossing in Surrey.
The Canada Border Services Agency says the driver was arrested and officers seized roughly 65 kilograms of cocaine at the crossing last July after a detector dog raised the alarm during a commercial truck examination.
The truck was carrying a shipment of dried goods bound for Calgary.
The society says it's putting the parade on hiatus again "with a great deal of regret", after the event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of pandemic precautions. The event traditionally features performances from bands and dance troupes, as well as an appearance by Santa and his helpers.

VPD officers responded to a triple stabbing at a bar near Oak Street and West Broadway around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, after a confrontation between two groups left three men seriously injured. The victims, all men in their 20s from White Rock, were in Vancouver for a birthday celebration.
