DELTA, B.C. - A person has been killed in a shooting in Delta, B.C.
A statement from Delta Police says officers responded to a call of shots fired just after 2 a.m. at a home on the northeast side of the city.
The unnamed male victim died at the scene.
Police say the deceased and the home are known to them.
They say the shooting is believed to be targeted.

The victim is still in the hospital in serious condition. There is no indication of any ongoing risk to the public related to this incident.
A 22-year-old woman was walking a dog near the Orpheum Theatre, at Seymour and Smithe Street, around 4:20 p.m. on January 19 when she was punched in the face by a man for no apparent reason.
