Police in New Westminster say one person is dead after being struck by a train on Monday.
Police say the pedestrian was killed at the intersection of Spruce Street and Brunette Avenue in the city at around 3:30 p-m.
Police say the name of the deceased is not being released.
They say witnesses in need of support can contact the Victim Assistance Unit.
Coquitlam RCMP say a man was arrested for allegedly driving his vehicle through the scene of a fatal collision. Police say a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the October 19th collision has since died of their injuries and a driver remains in hospital.
