A man charged in a fatal hit and run in Vancouver last year has pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death.
Eoghan Byrne was killed on July 19th, 2022 in the Kitsilano neighbourhood in a collision that was captured on surveillance video.
The video shows Byrne flying several metres after being struck by a vehicle that does not stop.
A sentencing hearing for Alexandre Romero Arata is scheduled for January 11th.
Justin Trudeau is urging Canadians to get vaccinated against both COVID-19 and influenza and says officials will consider the advice of public health authorities when it comes to measures like mandatory masks.
