A man charged in a fatal hit and run in Vancouver last year has pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death.
Eoghan Byrne was killed on July 19th, 2022 in the Kitsilano neighbourhood in a collision that was captured on surveillance video.
The video shows Byrne flying several metres after being struck by a vehicle that does not stop.
A sentencing hearing for Alexandre Romero Arata is scheduled for January 11th.
The changes would allow the Canada Border Services Agency to deny entry to, and remove, people who have been sanctioned, and would enable Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada officials to deny visas.
At issue is whether Canada should be hosting Iran given the Canadians who died on Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752 when it was shot down on Jan. 8, 2020, minutes after taking off from Tehran, by an Iranian surface-to-air missile.
