A man charged in a fatal hit and run in Vancouver last year has pleaded guilty to criminal negligence causing death.
Eoghan Byrne was killed on July 19th, 2022 in the Kitsilano neighbourhood in a collision that was captured on surveillance video.
The video shows Byrne flying several metres after being struck by a vehicle that does not stop.
A sentencing hearing for Alexandre Romero Arata is scheduled for January 11th.

Amita Minhas is described as a 36 year old South Asian female, 5’4” tall, 110 lbs. She has shoulder length black hair and brown eyes. There is no clothing description at this time.
