A Vancouver man accused in the dangerous driving deaths of two University of British Columbia students has pleaded guilty.
The B-C Prosecution Service says 23-year-old Tim Goerner pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving causing death earlier this month.
The service says a sentencing hearing will be held for Goerner on November 6th.
Eighteen-year-olds Evan Smith and Emily Selwood were struck and killed by a vehicle that veered onto a sidewalk near the university's Point Grey campus early the morning of September 26th, 2021.
The BC Maritime Employers Association said Friday the agreement to be presented to workers is the same one the union's caucus rejected just days ago. In a statement, the association said the deal is the proposal reached with a federal mediator and was originally agreed to by both sides on July 13.
Prince George Mounties say they've made an arrest in a suspicious death of a woman found on Tuesday. Mounties say a 22-year-old woman died during a home invasion which they believe was a targeted incident.

Police in Nanaimo say a 24-year-old man has died of his injuries after a crash with a suspected impaired driver. Nanaimo R-C-M-P say the crash happened around 10 p-m on Wednesday, and the other driver remains in hospital.
