Hit And Run: Surrey RCMP Looking For Vehicle Involved

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 07 Dec, 2016 11:09 AM
Surrey RCMP are looking for a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit and run at 12600-block of King George Boulevard on Dec. 5.

When emergency crews got to the scene, they started CPR and put him into an ambulance. He was taken to hospital but didn’t survive.

Upon further investigation, officers were able to determine that the man, a 26-year-old Surrey resident, had been hit by a vehicle. It was most likely travelling southbound on King George.

Early analysis of the debris, specifically a red plastic front bumper piece, leads investigators to believe the vehicle may be a 1997 to 2001 red Honda Prelude.

“If you have seen a red 1997 to 2001 Honda Prelude missing a piece of its front bumper, our investigators want to hear from you,” said Surrey RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann in a release. “Any little bit of information could help officers advance this investigation and find the person responsible.”

Anyone with information who has not spoken with police is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers
