The Canadian Press, 08 Jun, 2018 12:41 PM
CHILLIWACK, B.C. — A British Columbia man police say was known to them and was associated with drug activity has been found dead in the Fraser Valley.

Chilliwack RCMP say they responded to a home in the city early Thursday morning and found the man dead from injuries they describe as "consistent with homicide."

The victim is identified as 25-year-old Chilliwack resident Zacharia Nicolli Cross.

His slaying is believed to have been targeted but police have not said if any suspects have been identified.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has taken over the case.

A news release from Cpl. Frank Jang says team members are working closely with Chilliwack RCMP, identification specialists and the B.C. Coroners Service to gather evidence.
