Darpan News Desk, 19 Mar, 2020 07:01 PM
  • Kamloops RCMP Alters Its Front-Counter Services During Pandemic

Kamloops RCMP would like to advise the citizens of Kamloops that their front counter at both the Battle Street Detachment and the North Shore Community Policing Office are open and offering full services.

They do ask that, if appropriate, you consider phoning their switchboard at 250-828-3000 rather than attending in person.

Also, if you are required to be fingerprinted for civil purposes, to postpone coming into the detachment unless it is an urgent request.

And remember, you can use the Online Reporting Tool to report crimes where there are no suspects or witnesses and no police presence is required. Find this tool at https://ocre-sielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/kamloops

Specifically, citizens will be able to report the following crimes online:

Damage/mischief to property under $5,000

Damage/mischief to a vehicle under $5,000

Hit and run to an unoccupied vehicle or property

Theft of bicycle under $5,000

Theft under $5,000

Theft from vehicle under $5,000

Lost property

However, there must not be:

Any witnesses or suspects

Any items lost or stolen over $5,000

Any damages over $5,000

No items involving personal identity, firearms, licence plates or decals
