R-C-M-P in North Vancouver say officers have arrested a man in connection with several random assaults and arson.
Police say the man assaulted two people randomly on Christmas Day, and later set fire to the front door of an apartment building unit on December 29th.
They say the man is facing a number of charges, including assault, arson and mischief.
The Mounties say he will remain in custody until his next court appearance on January 16th.
A man is dead and a woman is in serious condition after two recent pedestrian collisions in Calgary. Police say a man in his 50s was riding a mobility scooter in a parking lot on Saturday when he was hit by an SUV.
