Missing Burnaby Man's Body Found, 'Death Considered Suspicious'

    Police are continuing their investigation and asking anyone who has any information to contact the E Division Major Crime tip line.
     
    On November 1, 2016, members of the Lytton RCMP Detachment located the body of a man who was reported missing to the Burnaby RCMP Detachment on October 18. 
     
    Police pursued a number of investigative avenues and determined that the man, identified as Oliver Mora Zamarripa, 19, was last seen by friends in Vancouver on October 15. On October 26, the Vancouver Police Department assumed conduct of the missing person investigation. 
     
    The death of Oliver Mora Zamarripa is considered suspicious and investigators of the E Division Major Crime Unit now have conduct of the investigation.
     
    His family has asked for privacy. Anyone who has any information about this incident or Oliver Mora Zamarripa's activities prior to November 1 are asked to contact the E Division Major Crime tip line at 778-290-3900.
