Neighbours help to foil break and enter in progress: Surrey RCMP

Darpan News Desk Surrey RCMP, 23 Apr, 2021 12:02 AM
  • Neighbours help to foil break and enter in progress: Surrey RCMP

Surrey RCMP has arrested a man for break & enter to a residence with help from watchful neighbours.

On April 19, 2021 at 9:23 pm, Surrey RCMP received two calls from the public reporting a break and enter in progress at a home in the 15300-block of 20A Avenue. Surrey RCMP Front Line Officers responded immediately, and located a man inside the garage attempting to gain entry into the residence.

The man was arrested for break and enter and was held in custody to appear in court. 34 year old Tyson Cole of Surrey, has been charged with Break and Enter and Unlawfully in Dwelling House. He was remanded in to custody.

This is a prime example of the public and police working together. The calls made by watchful neighbours had a direct and positive impact on our ability to arrest a suspect, says Constable Sarbjit Sangha, Media Relations Officer for Surrey RCMP. We’re grateful to the community for continuing to report crime, and suspicious activity in Surrey.
