Police in Surrey are investigating an overnight shooting at a home in the Newton neighbourhood.

They say that shortly after one this morning, a resident on the 71-hundred block of 128th street reported coming home to find several gunshot holes in the side of their house.

Police say the shooting is believed to have happened sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 1 a.m. today.

They say no one was home at the time of the shooting and there is no suspect description, but investigators are asking anyone with information to contact police.
