Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside today.
Police say two cars collided at an intersection just before 11 this morning, and one of the cars jumped the curb and he the person on the sidewalk.
Both drivers remained on scene.
Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the pedestrian died at the collision scene.
In central B.C., flood watches have been posted for the Skeena, Bulkley, Quesnel and Horsefly rivers and their tributaries, while a high streamflow advisory is in place for a 600-kilometre stretch of the Fraser River, from Quesnel through Metro Vancouver to the ocean.
