Pilot Found Dead After Single-Engine Plane Crashes In Alberta Field

    SYLVAN LAKE, Alta. — The pilot of a single-engine plane has been found dead after the aircraft crashed in a central Alberta farm field.
     
    RCMP say they were called to the crash 13 kilometres west of Sylvan Lake on Saturday afternoon.
     
    They say the pilot was the lone occupant of the two-seat plane and was dead at the scene.
     
    He has been identified as 70-year-old Mike Paul Chysyk of Saskatoon.
     
    Police say the cause of the crash isn't yet known.
     
    They say the Transportation Safety Board investigators have been to the scene and witnesses to the crash were being interviewed.
