RCMP In Langley, B.C., Say Sunday Evening Shooting Was Likely Targeted

Darpan News Desk The Canadian Press, 17 Oct, 2016 11:24 AM
LANGLEY, B.C. — A 29-year-old man from Mission, B.C., is recovering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds following an attack Sunday night in Langley.

A release from RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy says the victim is known to police and the shooting is believed to be targeted.

She says investigators have not determined if it is linked to a fatal shooting earlier in the day in Langley.

The victim of the Sunday night attack has not yet spoken to police, but Largy says he was accompanied by another man who has provided information to officers.

The injured man was found at a restaurant and gas bar near Highway 1 and 264 Street and Largy says the parking lot of the Greater Vancouver Zoo, about one kilometre away from the shooting location, is also connected to the investigation.

No arrests have been made and RCMP ask anyone with information to contact the Langley detachment.
