UDPATE: The Red FM radiothon that took place on Thursday was a huge success. The radio station raised $417,000 to help the victims of the Turkey and Syria earthquake.

The people of Turkey and Syria are facing a catastrophe after massive earthquakes hit both the nations.  To help those impacted by these catastrophic earthquakes, Surrey based radio station CKYE 931 is organizing a fundraiser on Feb 16, 2023. Funds raised will benefit Canadian Red Cross.

An elderly woman had planned to meet with someone from Facebook Marketplace to sell her phone. They met at Victoria Park located at 150 E Keith Rd in North Vancouver. During the exchange, the suspect pepper sprayed the victim and attempted to take her phone. The suspect was unsuccessful, and fled without the phone west from the park.

On January 27, 2023, IHIT investigators arrested 24-year old Chalice Slavik of Delta, in relation to the homicide of Miller.
