The people of Turkey and Syria are facing a catastrophe after massive earthquakes hit both the nations. To help those impacted by these catastrophic earthquakes, Surrey based radio station CKYE 931 is organizing a fundraiser on Feb 16, 2023. Funds raised will benefit Canadian Red Cross.

A civil lawsuit filed on behalf of Chan's family last year claims she died by suicide in January 2019 during a severe mental health crisis after being "extorted" by Sgt. David Van Patten to continue their sexual relationship.
Over 11,000 people have fatally overdosed in the province from toxic street drugs since it was declared a public health emergency in 2016.
