Reward Offered For Information Leading To Arrests In Recent Halifax Homicides

The Canadian Press, 03 May, 2016 12:47 PM
HALIFAX — Nova Scotia has announced cash rewards for tips that help solve four recent homicides in Halifax.

Justice Minister Diana Whalen announced Tuesday that the shooting deaths of Joseph Cameron, Tyler Richards, Naricho Clayton and Daverico Downey have been added to the Major Unsolved Crimes Program.

Anyone who provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators could receive a reward of up to $150,000.

All four men were shot to death in and around Halifax between March 29 and April 23.

Halifax police have said they are investigating the possibility of connections between some of the deaths.

Supt. Jim Perrin says it is unusual to add four cases to the rewards program at once, but adds that this is also a "highly unusual" time for the community.
