The Canada Super 60 League is set to return for its second season at Vancouver’s iconic BC Place from September 29 to October 4, 2026, with a star-studded lineup and a growing focus on the future of Canadian cricket.
Ahead of the draft event, several marquee international cricketers have already been signed or retained by the six teams. The Toronto Sixers have secured Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard, while the Montreal Royal Tigers have added Andre Russell, Chris Lynn and Junaid Siddiqui. The Mississauga Masters have signed David Wiese and Colin Munro, while the Brampton Blitz have brought in Jonny Bairstow.
The Toronto Sixers have signed West Indies stars Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard, while retaining Daniel Sams and Newab Singh.
The Montreal Royal Tigers have added global T20 stars Andre Russell and Chris Lynn, alongside Junaid Siddiqui, and will also feature Sikandar Raza, one of the most experienced all-rounders in world cricket.
The Mississauga Masters have built one of the most experienced squads in the league, featuring David Wiese, Colin Munro, Ali Khan, Azam Khan, Alex Lees, Richard Gleeson and Canadian players Kaleem Sana, Hamza Tariq, Saad Bin Zafar and Rayyan Pathan. Their roster also includes Virandeep Singh and Zahid Shirzad.
The White Rock Warriors have signed Dwaine Pretorius and Sam Billings, while retaining Jordan Thompson.
The Brampton Blitz have brought in England star Jonny Bairstow, with James Vince, Martin Guptill, Dillon Heyliger, Yuvraj Samra and Chris Greaves among their retained players.
The Vancouver Anchors have assembled an international group that includes Mustafizur Rahman, Chris Jordan, Dipendra Singh Airee, Akhil Kumar and Max Chu.
The league will also feature experienced international stars, including Moeen Ali and Sikandar Raza, alongside names such as Andre Russell, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard and Chris Lynn.
For young Canadian cricketers, the opportunity is perhaps even more significant. Players including Aryan Sidhu, Yuvraj Samra, Gurnek Johal and Ajayveer Hundal are among the emerging talents who represent the next generation of Canadian cricket and will have the opportunity to share the field with some of the biggest names in the sport.
The league has also received a major boost through its partnership with legendary Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who serves as its brand ambassador. The two-time World Cup-winning all-rounder has expressed his excitement about the league’s second season and its potential to contribute to the growth of cricket in Canada.
Canadian cricket has experienced its share of turbulence in recent years, with challenges surrounding the sport’s development and administration creating uncertainty about its long-term future. Against that backdrop, Canada Super 60 has the potential to become an important catalyst for change.
