Vancouver police say they're looking for suspects in a brutal assault on a 75-year-old man in the Downtown Eastside that was captured on video.
Police say the assault happened on Tuesday near East Hastings and Jackson Ave.
They say the man lives in the neighbourhood and was out for a walk when he was attacked and robbed, and the suspects are still on the loose.
Police say the assault happened around 9:15 a.m., where a group of suspects pushed the man down and punched him repeatedly in the face before stealing his belongings.
Video released by the department shows the man confronting the suspects, with one grabbing onto him and slamming him into a wall, causing the victim to collapse to the ground.
Vancouver police say the man was taken to hospital and later released, and the assault was called in by several witnesses and bystanders.
