Surrey Homeowner Recovers From Stab Wounds After Surprising Two Thieves

    SURREY, B.C. — A homeowner in Surrey, B.C., has been stabbed after confronting two men who broke into his home.
     
    Staff Sgt. Dale Carr says it happened at about 4:30 Wednesday morning.
     
    He says the man suffered a non-life threatening stab wound while fighting with the suspects inside the victim's Cloverdale-area home (in the 19100 block of 62A Avenue.)
     

    The two suspects, described only as Caucasian, fled in the victim's 2005 white Mini Cooper.
     
    A search is underway for the thieves and the vehicle, which has a black roof and B.C. licence plate BT6 75H.
     
    Anyone with information is urged to call Surrey RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
