  • Surrey Police Service investigating after reported gunfire between two vehicles

Police in Surrey, B.C., say they're investigating an apparent gunfight involving two vehicles in the city on Saturday night.

The Surrey Police Service says officers were called to the city centre neighbourhood just after 9 p.m. for reports of two vehicles exchanging gunfire.

Police say the gunshots rang out near 105 Avenue and University Drive, and involved a black sedan and white sedan that were seen "speeding away" from the area.

A statement from the police service says officers found several spent bullet casings when they arrived at the scene.

Investigators say neither vehicle has been found, no injuries have been reported and the motive behind the shooting isn't known.

Police say the white suspect vehicle may have damage on the right side of its windshield.
