Surrey RCMP Arrest Third And Final Suspect For Break And Enter With Assault

Darpan News Desk, 07 Sep, 2016 11:59 AM
The third and final suspect in a targeted break and enter and assault that occurred on June 19th, 2016, at a residence in Newton, has now been taken into custody by the Surrey RCMP.

Three suspects were charged as a result of that incident. One suspect was detained at scene by the victims. Another suspect arrested shortly afterwards by police thanks to surveillance video and witnesses at scene.

On September 1st, Surrey RCMP’s Strike Force Target Team arrested the last outstanding suspect, Andres NARANJO. With the assistance of the Integrated Police Dog Services (IPDS) and patrol officers, NARANJO was found hiding in a home in the 15500 block of 104th Avenue.

NARANJO remains in custody pending his next court appearance.

This is a great example of how the sharing of information and communication between police units can lead to an arrest, says Corporal Scotty Schumann.
