Two Suspects Charged For Human Trafficking In Prince George, B.C.

    PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Two suspects have been charged amid allegations of human trafficking in Prince George, B.C.
     
    RCMP say they began an investigation into allegations of a forcible confinement of a woman at a local motel on Wednesday.
     
    Police say it is believed the victim was held against her will for a number of days and was being forced into the sex trade.
     
    A man and a woman were arrested at the motel on Highway 97 in the north end of the city without incident.
     
    Police say 33-year-old Jody Burns and 34-year-old Jennifer Dawn have been charged with trafficking in persons, forcible confinement and sexual assault with a firearm.
     
    Police say they are also following up on the possibility that there may be more victims.
