Unmasked man spits on face of security guard at the Dollarama store in Guildford mall: Surrey RCMP

Surrey RCMP is seeking assistance with furthering an investigation into the assault on a security guard at the Dollarama store in Guildford mall.
Surrey RCMP began investigating this assault after receiving a copy of a video from CTV reporters who had located it on social media. The incident had not yet been reported to the police. The video shows an unmasked man spitting in the face of a security guard who was escorting him from the store.
Through investigation officers have identified the security guard’s employer and learned the incident occurred on April 6, 2021 at approximately 5:30 p.m. Investigators are now seeking the public’s assistance with identifying the suspect of the assault.
Investigators are also appealing to any witnesses, including the person who filmed the video, to come forward to help advance this investigation.
“The video of the assault on the security guard was disgusting,” says Superintendent Manly Burleigh, Surrey RCMP Operations Officer. “This type of behaviour is unacceptable – we urge anyone that has experienced this type of violence to report the incident to police.”
Anyone with more information, including dash cam footage around the Guildford mall area between 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on April 6, 2021, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2021-50419.
Harinder Brar, 30, and his wife, Hazel Brar, 30, of Rocky View County, have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking for the fentanyl and cocaine, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a prohibited weapon.
There was concern that Dr.Gill appeared to be "willfully spreading false and misleading information regarding COVID-19 that goes directly against the advice and recommendations of local, provincial, and federal medical/science and public health authorities."
The victim was transported to hospital, where she remains in critical condition. A nearby school was temporarily sheltering in place as a precaution while NWPD officers secured the scene.
She says she expects the plan will be finalized around March 18, in the meantime the initial supply will be used to address ongoing outbreaks that are leading to rapidly increasing case numbers in some communities.
Police attended the residence and through the investigation identified Amin Yussuf, who has four outstanding warrants from a homicide that occurred in Edmonton on March 24, 2019.
