Mounties in North Vancouver are asking for the public's help in locating an urn stolen from a car over the weekend.
R-C-M-P say they received multiple reports of vehicle break-ins on West 21st Street around 10:30 Saturday morning.
They say one of the callers reported that her late husband's ashes were in an urn stolen from a white Kia Forte.
Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
On Tuesday morning at 9:25 a.m, Surrey RCMP, received a reported of a person passed out in a running vehicle in the 8800-block of 127 Street. First responders arrived on scene and located an injured person who was unresponsive. Despite lifesaving efforts, the man did not survive.

A statement from Vancouver police says the three-year-old and his mother were found near Calgary early Tuesday. Police say the boy is now receiving care and his mother has been arrested.

Upon arrival, police found the residence fully engulfed, and firefighters were hard at work trying to contain the fire. Police and fire crews are on scene. It is expected that traffic in the area will be disrupted for some time.
