Tendulkar to watch F1 night race in Bahrain

    Indian cricket legend and motorsports enthusiast Sachin Tendulkar will be in Bahrain for the April 6 Formula 1 race at the Sakhir Circuit near here.
     
    Tendulkar will visit the Gulf nation on the invitation of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, reported the Gulf Daily News.
     
    Bahraini businessman Mohammed Dadabhai, who is close to Tendulkar, confirmed that the batting legend will be present to watch the first Formula 1 night race in Bahrain. 
     
    "This is great news that will bring both Bahrain and India closer as the cricketing idol has accepted the invitation to visit Bahrain to attend this year's Formula One race," Dadabhai was quoted as saying Sunday.
     
    "There is no doubt that Sachin Tendulkar, who is visiting with his family, will be one of the main attractions of this major event and we are happy that the most popular cricketer in the world is visiting Bahrain," he added.
