“Sherlock” star Benedict Cumberbatch and theatre director Sophie Hunter, who married earlier this year on Valentine's Day, have welcomed their first child together, a boy.

“Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter are delighted to announce the arrival of their beautiful son,” said a spokesman for the couple, reports dailymail.co.uk.

“We would kindly ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during these next few precious weeks,” the spokesperson added.
