Ingredients 
 
1 cup almonds, blanched, peeled and flaked
20-25 medium prawns, shelled and deveined
2 eggs, beaten
Salt to taste
3 tsps lemon juice
2 tbsps refined flour (maida)
1 tbsp cornflour
Oil for deep-frying
 
Preparation
 
Break the eggs into a bowl, add salt, two teaspoons lemon juice, refined flour, and cornflour and whisk to form a smooth and thick batter. Rest it for some time.
 
Spread the almond flakes in a plate and lightly crush them. Dip the prawns in the batter and shake the extra batter off. Roll in the almond flakes and place on a plate.
 
Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai. Put the prawns, one by one, into the hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot.
