When Will Son Of Pig Raiser Become PM, Asks Lalu

    Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Wednesday said the people of the country wanted to know when a son of pig raisers would become India's prime minister.
     
    "If son of a tea seller (Narendra Modi) can become the prime minister, when would a son of pig raisers become the prime minister," Lalu said. 
     
    Lalu, known for reading the mood of the people, said marginalised and downtrodden people should be given more opportunities for their empowerment.
     
    "It is only possible when Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government would make the data of the caste-based census public," the RJD chief said.
     
    Bihar is scheduled to hold state assembly polls later this year. 
     
    Lalu Prasad also urged the marginalised people, Dalits and backward classes to fight for justice and rights.
     
    Lalu will sit on a fast on July 26 in Patna to protest the withholding of the caste-based census data. 
     
    Besides, he called for a Bihar shutdown on July 27.
