  • Burnaby RCMP need the public's help in finding missing man Rajesh Verma

Burnaby RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 65-year-old Rajesh Verma. Rajesh was last seen by family in the 8800-block of Armstrong Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2022.

 Rajesh is described as:

  • 5’6” tall
  • South Asian 
  • Balding with grey hair
  • Brown eyes

Rajesh was last seen wearing:

  • White long sleeve shirt
  • Black runners (with white soles)
  • Dark blue pants

It is out of character for Rajesh to not check in with family for this amount of time and they are very concerned.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Rajesh or have information on his whereabouts to call the Burnaby RCMP.  It they wish to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers.

On March 10, 2022, just after 6 p.m., a man was chased into the Burquitlam SkyTrain Station by two suspects, one of whom was seen carrying a large machete. The man attempted to use a pylon to protect himself, while one of the suspects allegedly swung the machete in his direction several times. The machete eventually made contact with the side of the victim’s head.
