  • Hit-And-Run Collision On Vancouver's West Side Leaves Skateboarder Dead
VANCOUVER — A skateboarder is dead after an early-morning hit and run in Vancouver.
 
Two men were skateboarding on the west side of the city (near Heather Street and West 54th Avenue) when one was struck by a car.
 
The driver took off without stopping in what police describe as an older, silver Mitsubishi car.
 
The skateboarder is a man in his 20s from Ontario.
 
He was taken to hospital after the collision where he died from his injuries.
 
Police say the cause of the crash is not yet known but the driver is encourage to come forward.
