Man Dead In Farming Accident In Surrey, B.C.

    SURREY, B.C. — A farming accident in B.C.'s Lower Mainland has left one man dead.
     
    WorkSafe B.C. spokeswoman Trish Knight Chernecki says a serious incident at a farm in southwest Surrey involving a worker and a tractor occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday.
     
     
    She says the workplace safety agency, police and the coroner's service are investigating.
     
    Police were called to a farm in the 15,600-block of 40th Avenue, at approximately 2:45 p.m.
     
    The victim has not been identified, though Cpl. Scotty Schumann said he is believed to be a man in his 20s.
