Registration Opens in June for City of Surrey Summer Day Camps

Darpan News Desk City of Surrey, 28 May, 2021 10:27 AM
  • Registration Opens in June for City of Surrey Summer Day Camps

The City of Surrey is providing a limited selection of summer day camps from July 5 to August 27, 2021. Parents may register for up to one month at a time. Online or telephone registration for July camps opens June 2 at 7:30 a.m. Registration for August camps opens at 7:30 am on June 30.

Camps offered include Fun Zone and a selection of nature, arts and heritage camps. Licensed summer preschool for children 3-5 years old will also be available.

“Some camps have changed locations to nearby facilities due to vaccination clinics at a few of our recreation centres,” said Lisa White, Manager of Community & Recreation Services. “However, parents will find day camps in every town centre across the city as in previous years.”

All camps will operate with a heightened level of health and safety protocols including smaller camp sizes, physical distancing, daily health screening of both campers and staff, enhanced cleaning and designated area for pick-up and drop-off.

Flexible payment plans are available and licensed summer preschool qualifies for subsidies.

Perfect pregnancy plans, ruined by a pandemic
It was the day after April Fool’s when I stared at a tiny window on a pregnancy test and watched a very clear plus sign quickly appear. I sprinted from my side of the house to my husband’s office (see: bathroom), banged on the door like a crazed person and jumped up and down as I told him the news.
