From Derby, England, to the ends of the Earth, Harpreet Kaur Chandi aka Polar Preet has redefined what it means to push human limits. A British Army officer and physiotherapist, she etched her name in history in 2022 when she became the first woman of color to complete a solo expedition to the South Pole. Not stopping there, in 2023 she undertook the longest-ever solo, unsupported, one-way ski expedition across Antarctica, covering over 1,000 miles in some of the harshest conditions on the planet.

For Chandi, these journeys were never just about endurance. They were about representation—showing women, people of color, and young dreamers everywhere that no frontier is closed to them. “You are capable of so much more than you think,” she often says, a mantra she has lived every step across the ice.

With each expedition, Polar Preet has become a global icon of resilience, courage, and determination, breaking barriers not only in exploration but in the imagination of what’s possible.
