Chani, born and raised in Surrey, began writing about Sikh history and community struggles before moving into commercial music. His breakthrough came when Diljit Dosanjh recorded his song Umbrella, a moment that validated his path as a songwriter. Inderpal’s journey began in Punjab, where he sang kavishris before moving to Canada with a dream to share his voice. When Chani heard his music, their partnership was born, built on brotherhood, authenticity, and a shared love for culture.

Their breakout track DAKU became a global anthem, amassing over a billion streams and catapulting them into international stardom. Since then, they’ve delivered hits like 8 ASLE and Facetime while proudly repping Surrey.
