Hargun Dhillon

Name: Hargun Dhillon

Year: 2025
Presented By: Amit Midda, Founder and Director, Skymart Canada
Bio:

At just 21, Hargun Dhillon is transforming community health for South Asians in Canada and beyond. A first-generation Punjabi Canadian and senior kinesiology student at UBC, he is the founder of Age Strong Unity Wellness Society, the world’s first multilingual, trauma-informed nonprofit fitness program for South Asian seniors. Through free, culturally tailored classes, Age Strong has engaged over 2,000 elders and inspired others to launch similar initiatives.

Hargun’s vision extends globally. In Punjab, India, he helped establish three rural health clinics, offering free medications and preventive care to nearly 200 low-income families. In Canada, he co-founded the Ignited Resilience Mentorship Foundation, supporting at-risk high school students with academic mentorship and scholarships.

With nearly 7,000 volunteer hours, Hargun has become a strong advocate for health equity, presenting at national conferences and championing sustainable, community-based solutions.

Rooted in his heritage and fueled by compassion, Hargun’s work bridges generations and cultures. His mission is clear: to empower communities to thrive through unity, resilience, and accessible care.
